"Take My Breath Away" is a melody composed by Giorgio Moroder and Tom Whitlock for the film Top Gun, performed by the band Berlin. It won the Academy Award for Best Original Song, and
additionally the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song in 1986.
Once Giorgio Moroder composed the musical sponsorship to what might get to be ""Take My Breath Away", lyricist Tom Whitlock composed the verses driving home from the studio, and after that spent a couple of hours at home cleaning them. The demo finished with a foundation artist inspired chief Tony Scott and makers Jerry Bruckheimer and Don Simpson, who chose to film more sentimental scenes between Tom Cruise and Kelly McGillis to highlight the tune.
The tune was initially offered to The Motels; they discharged their unique demo on their accumulation collection Anthologyland.
