"Message in
a Bottle" is a single by English rock group the Police. It was recorded as
the best song from their 2-nd album, Reggatta de Blanc (1979). Composed by the
group's
lead singer and bassist Sting, the single is ostensibly about a story of a
castaway on an island, who sends out a message in a bottle to seek love.
