Bernard Edwards. Music was released by American artist Diana Ross. The single
was issued as a song
through the Motown label in 1980, as the best song from
her self-titled 10-th album, diana. "Upside Down" hit number 1 on the
Billboard Hot 100 chart on September 6, 1980.Track also hit number 1 on the
Billboard Disco and Soul charts. The song was recorded a full 4 weeks after the
album was recorded. It held down the number 1 spot for 4 weeks.
