Mamy Blue
is song by Yolanda Cristina Gigliotti (17 January 1933 – 3 May 1987), better
known as Dalida, was an Egyptian-born Italian-French singer and actress. Mamy
Blue (later aka "Mammy
Blue") is the title of an international hit
from 1971–72 for several artists.
The song
was composed with French lyrics in 1970 by veteran French composer Hubert Giraud; he conceived thesingle in his
car waiting out a Parisian traffic jam and had completed its demo within a few
days. After 4 months the 1-st released version of "Mamy Blue" was
made - with Italian lyrics - by Ivana Spagna marking that singer's recording
debut.
