United States Billboard pop songs chart, in the UK in the top 5, and in the Australian Singles Chart in the top 10, released and peaking late summer/early autumn in 1966. 16 years later, music would again become a number-1 hit when Phil Collins re-released the single. It reached number-1 on the UK Singles Chart for 2 weeks beginning in January 1983, and reached No. 10 on the US Singles Chart that same month.
