"Hello"
is a single by Lionel Richie taken as the 3-rd song from Richie's
multi-platinum album Can't Slow Down, the single was recorded in 1984 and
toped number 1 on 3 Billboard music charts: the
pop chart (for 2 weeks), the
R&B chart (for 3 weeks), and the adult contemporary chart (for 6 weeks).
The single also toped to number 1 in the UK Singles Chart for 6 weeks. The single
later inspired a lawsuit by composer Marjorie Hoffman White, who accused Richie
of plagiarizing her composition "I'm Not Ready to Go".
